Special Delivery Book Three, TOUGH LOVE is Coming April 8th!

~Penny’s Rating: A- ~ I feel like I waited forever for this book to come out. I am so grateful to Heidi Cullinan for the ARC, because I don’t think I would have been able to take it if I had to wait all the way to April 8, 2014. For those of you who have managed to stay sane, the wait is almost over, and Tough Love will be hitting the shelves next Tuesday. *Dances happy dance* Tough Love is a nice continuation of the SD series. For me, it was like coming home and visiting old friends. It was so good to see Mitch, Sam, Randy, and Ethan (the boys) again! We get to meet Mitch’s half-brother Chenco Ortiz, (squeee!), a talented drag performer trying to make a name for herself and bad-ass kinky daddy Steve Vance. They make quite the pair, let me tell you. It’s an SD book, so of course there is plenty of drama, antics by Randy, Crabtree’s there too (the sadistic bastard), and of course they end up in Vegas, because Vegas is just as much a character in the SD series as the people themselves. The Sex: The sex is hot. HAWT….

A DOUBLE BLIND (Special Delivery #2) Re-Release Review

By Heidi Cullinan Penny’s Rating: A Happy Valentine’s Day All! In honor of the re-release of Book 2 in the Special Delivery Series which will be hitting shelves on March 4, 2014, I thought what could be better than a V-Day review with a little kink? FYI- this review contains mature content. I first read this novel back in 2012 not long after I finished Special Delivery. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, I have read this series several times and did re-read the Samahain re-issue of Double Blind, provided to me by the fabulous Heidi Cullinan herself, thank you Heidi, so I could have the story fresh in my mind for this review. Double Blind is an amazing compliment to Special Delivery. Sam and Mitch are in the story, but the focus is on Randy, who if you didn’t fall in love with him in SD#1, you will here. This is Randy’s story, and Ethan’s story as well. If you haven’t read Special Delivery, this novel does stand on its own. Still, I would recommend that you read it, because you are missing the back story. And the kink-awesomeness that is SD#1 The Characters: I love that Sam and…

“Let it Snow” by Heidi Cullinan – Blog Tour

Penny’s Rating: B  ~Book Blurb The weather outside is frightful, but this Minnesota northwoods cabin is getting pretty hot. Stylist Frankie Blackburn never meant to get lost in Logan, Minnesota, but his malfunctioning GPS felt otherwise, and a record-breaking snowfall ensures he won’t be heading back to Minneapolis anytime soon. Being rescued by three sexy lumberjacks is fine as a fantasy, but in reality the biggest of the bears is awfully cranky and seems ready to gobble Frankie right up. Marcus Gardner wasn’t always a lumberjack—once a high-powered Minneapolis lawyer, he’s come home to Logan to lick his wounds, not play with a sassy city twink who might as well have stepped directly out of his past. But as the northwinds blow and guards come down, Frankie and Marcus find they have a lot more in common than they don’t. Could the man who won’t live in the country and the man who won’t go back to the city truly find a home together? Because the longer it snows, the deeper they fall in love, and all they want for Christmas is each other. Warning: Contains power outages, excessive snowfall, and incredibly sexy bears.~ Okay, before I review this thing, let me…

Special Delivery (Special Delivery, #1)

By Heidi Cullinan Penny’s Rating: A+ Please Be Advised: This review contains Mature Content.  My safe word will forever be Violet, and it is all Heidi Cullinan’s fault. Oh. My. GOD. Oh my freaking GOD! I can honestly say that I have loved everything I have ever read by Heidi Cullinan, but this book, oh my GOD. This is the hottest book I have read so far in 2012. I absolutely LOVED it! I read Special Delivery back in May, immediately followed by: Double Blind (Special Delivery, #2), which is equally awesome and hot, and a perfect companion to the story from SD #1. Anyway, I knew I needed to do a review for Special Delivery so I could rave about how freaking amazing, awesome, and sexy I think this book is. I also apologize for the number of times I am going to say “Oh my God.” in this review. It will probably get old by the end of it, but you can just deal. Here’s the description from Dreamspinner Press: Sam Keller knows he’ll never find the excitement he craves in Middleton, Iowa–not while he’s busting his ass in nursing school and paying rent by slaving away in…

Hot Head

By Damon Suede ebook, 320 pages ISBN13:  9781615819492 Published June 15th 2011 by Dreamspinner Press (first published June 14th 2011) Penny’s Rating: A Ok. Wow.  This novel is sizzling hot, and not at all what I expected when I bought this ebook. Based on the book description, I was expecting some sort of trite story with good naughty bits, and instead ended up with an amazing novel, complete with a compelling story, characters that you fall in love with, and devastatingly hot, hot, hot, sex and sexual encounters. Did I mention it’s hot? Not only that, but the two main characters are firefighters, of the FDNY variety. If you’ve ever seen the FDNY calendar, you know what level of hotness we’re talking about here. If you are looking for a great guy/ guy romance, Damon Suede delivers. Here’s the publisher synopsis from Dreamspinner Press. “Since 9/11, Brooklyn firefighter Griff Muir has wrestled with impossible feelings for his best friend and partner at Ladder 181: Dante Anastagio. Unfortunately Dante is strictly a ladies’ man and the FDNY isn’t exactly gay-friendly. For 10 years, Griff has hidden his heart in a half-life of public heroics and private anguish.Griff’s caution and Dante’s cockiness…
